My husband and I have this long-standing tradition of not getting each other birthday or holiday gifts until one of us has a really good idea for a gift for the other one and then the one with the great idea will go all-out and break the budget and make the other person who still thinks we aren’t doing gifts this year feel bad when they receive a gift and the gift receiver has done absolutely no gift giving whatsoever and this is how I got my first camera.

From there, a fire was lit! Interest was sparked! The shutter clicked! (ba-dum-dum)…you get the idea.

I spent the next few years photographing everything and anything I could dabble in - headshots, family and maternity portraits, graduates, products, food and drinks, real estate, and over 60 births! I achieved several first-place awards for my birth images and had the honor of being published in many online publications.

Over time, creating images became a way for me to remember the fleeting baby and toddler years of my own children, and for those cemented memories, I’m forever grateful.

The gift of my first camera changed the course of my life forever.

Now, I’ve fallen in love with documenting love stories…you may find me hiking out in the wee hours of the morning to find a hiding spot behind some agave so I can discreetly photograph your surprise Sedona sunrise proposal 😍 or accidentally squatting onto a prickly pear while making very last minute images of a mama who went on to have her baby just a few hours later, or maybe ninja walking through your reception trying to stop myself from shaking my booty to your impeccable “90’s Top Hits” playlist.
